First, option traders need to be able to trade the right strategy at the right time.

Second, they need to generate ongoing income.

Because of these 2 priorities, Calendars need to be in every trader’s skill set for environments just like right now. There are 2 major Calendar strategies: Income Calendar Spread and Calendar Diagonal Spread.

I. Income Calendar Spread

The Income Calendar Spreads offers a low maintenance, low defined risk trading strategy, which means there is no need to watch your screen all day.

Just set it up, check it once a day, and you’re good to go…

It’s a favorite trading strategy for a stock or security when your short-term sentiment is neutral, but your longer-term directional outlook is bullish or bearish.

Ideally, the short-dated option expires out of the money – you keep the premium collected, much like rent.

Then you have more trading possibilities from your initial trade:

(A) You’re left with a long option position having unlimited profit potential or

(B) You can sell another short, dated option against it collecting more premium while you wait!

Making this strategy a win…win…

The Calendar Spread is also a favorite earnings option selling strategy, that takes advantage of the high implied volatility of a stock as it heads into its earnings release, selling volatility.

II. Calendar Diagonal Spread

The Calendar Diagonal Spread is another strategy you want in your skill set…

Why?

Because it benefits from the Calendar Spread’s income generating design [timing spread] but has a vertical spread component that allows for the potential of even greater returns based on price direction.

This option strategy pays you while you wait on price direction to kick in and its design allows you to buy long term options at a discount.

This option strategy captures income from premium decay.

It provides your trade the potential to “morph” into a long call or long put with the short side expiring worthless and the long exploding in value. This is an ideal scenario for an option trader!

Plus, it’s a great portfolio HEDGE.

Yes, if you have purchased a Live Workshop, it will be recorded and available On Demand. This recording is posted to your personal PCT Account after the recording has been finalized.
