On September 24th, we executed what turned out to be a near-perfect trade setup on NextEra Energy (NEE) — a textbook example of a cycle low reversal supported by multiple confirming indicators.
The Setup
As we approached the 24th, our analysis identified a clear cycle reversal forming. Momentum on both Cycle 1 and Cycle 2 shifted into positive territory, signaling early strength. At the same time, we saw a momentum reversal confirmation and a
decisive break above a key moving average — a combination that often signals the start of a new bullish trend.
This confluence gave us a strong technical entry point. We entered the position right as price confirmed the breakout, marking what we consider one of the cleanest setups we’ve seen recently.
Trade Management
Once in the trade, NEE began to trend steadily upward, validating our analysis. Along the way, we made several strategic adjustments — locking in profits, scaling our position, and eventually moving the trade into a risk-free position.
By October 8th, NEE was trading at $84.08, compared to our entry at $72.65. After multiple adjustments, the trade evolved into a spread with a total realized profit of approximately $640 per spread, all on zero risk once the trade had been repositioned.
